Dr Retha Visagie, Manager of Research Integrity under Unisa’s Research Support Directorate, has been accepted as a member of the Globethics.net global Pool of Experts.
Globethics.net, based in Geneva, Switzerland, is a global network of teachers and institutions with the vision to embed ethics in higher education. As an organisation, it strives for a world in which people, and especially leaders, are educated in, informed by and act according to ethical values and thus contribute to building sustainable, just and peaceful societies.
Visagie said that being accepted as a member of the Globethics.net global pool of experts is prestigious since it is an indication that an international non-profit foundation with economic and social council status with the United Nations recognises her expertise as an ethics educator.
Further to that, it will give her the opportunity to contribute to the ethics education of academics, professional staff members and leaders in higher education institutions internationally.
Congratulations to Dr Visagie as she defines tomorrow through being part of a true global community through the Globethics.net Global Pool of Experts.
