Executive Dean's message
Let me take this opportunity to welcome you to the College of Science, Engineering and Technology (CSET) website. In this website, the College is showcasing its academic, research and tuition prowess and offerings in Science, Engineering and Computing Disciplines.
The College prides itself in being the leader in Open Distance e-Learning in the country for Science and Engineering Certificate, Diploma and Degree programmes through the usage of advanced technologies for interactive teaching and learning. In particular, this College is the single largest contributor of Science and Engineering undergraduates in South Africa and also in accepting students from the rest of the African continent. Moreover, our Engineering programs are accredited by the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
With the state of the-art-laboratories and the high-tech instrumentation, the College carries out front-end and cutting edge research in collaboration with world-class universities and industry partners across the globe.
The researchers and academic staff at CSET also partake in Engaged Scholarship projects which are integrated with the Research programmes and Teaching & Learning modules.
It is my wish that as you navigate the website, you will end up making contact with the relevant Departments and Institutes within the college and make a decision to enrol as a student of the University of South Africa (Unisa) at the Science Campus located at Florida, Roodepoort, Johannesburg.
