Community Engagement in the College of Economic and Management Sciences has a vision of “Excellence in the implementation of innovative and sustainable initiatives in the service of humanity”. This is underpinned by the intent to promote entrepreneurship and thereby the achievement of the national and global development agenda.
We are committed to leading with the development of entrepreneurship, human capital development, sustainable solutions for economic growth and development, community outreach and enrichment that will advance national developmental imperatives and the realisation of the aspirations of our people. Community engagement will add value to Teaching and Learning as well as Research and Innovation through our projects in various communities.
The initiatives implemented by the College are to ultimately ensure that we meaningfully engage communities in a manner that resonates fully with the vision of Unisa to be the African University in the service of humanity.
