UNISA UNEVOC Centre

UNEVOC Network logoThe UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) recognizes University of South Africa (UNISA) as a UNEVOC Network Member. Unisa was admitted as a UNEVOC Network Member in December 2024. The UNEVOC Network is UNESCO-UNEVOC’s global platform of TVET institutions that work together to contribute to improving the standards and quality of TVET in their respective countries and globally.

The UNEVOC Network, coordinated by the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre, is made up of UNEVOC Centres which are established in TVET Institutions, Universities, Ministries, Research Institutes and Teacher Training Institutes and serve as focal points for the provision of services and platforms for international and regional cooperation in TVET. The Network is instrumental in the production and dissemination of research, case studies, databases, publications, and enables the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre to perform its function as a clearinghouse. TVET related activities undertaken by various UNEVOC Centres are shared with the wider UNEVOC Network Community via UNEVOC Quarterly and UNEVOC Network Spotlight

Through the Network, UNEVOC Centres can share knowledge and experiences related to all aspects of TVET, exchange country experiences, and discuss issues of common relevance in meetings organised by themselves, by the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre or virtually through the UNEVOC Network Portal or the UNEVOC e-Forum. Furthermore, TVET events that are relevant on a global, regional, or national level can be accessed on Major TVET Events.
