UNISA UNEVOC Centre
The aim of the UNEVOC Network is to promote international cooperation among UNEVOC Centres worldwide and contribute to TVET reform in Member States by sharing good and innovative practices.
The Goals of the UNEVOC Network are to
- Improve TVET by promoting and fostering international collaboration;
- Develop the capacities of UNEVOC Centres and associated TVET practitioners by providing various forms of assistance; and
- Share good practices and innovations in TVET.
Purpose of the UNEVOC Centre
UNEVOC Centres, part of the UNEVOC Network function acting as focal points for UNESCO's Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) messages, promoting TVET development and sharing experiences within their countries and the broader network.
The purpose of a UNEVOC Centre is to
- Disseminate UNESCO TVET messages on a national level.
- Display UNEVOC publications and any relevant TVET documentation for sharing.
- Report on experiences regarding TVET in the country and report back to the Network.
- Advocate for TVET – advocate for the importance of TVET and its role in promoting economic growth, social inclusion, and sustainable development.
- Contribute to UNESCO-UNEVOC’ mission which is to support Member States in their efforts to strengthen and upgrade their TVET systems.
- Present an annual action plan and report on the activities conducted by the UNEVOC Centre.
