Research and innovation at Unisa is diverse and dynamic, and the university’s latest annual research report confirms this. The report offers a quick, easy-to-read view of the research highlights and achievements of 2015, from the facts and figures of Unisa’s research performance to the research perspectives of some of our researchers, emerging and established.

“For those eager to see what return on investment Unisa is receiving for its considerable support for research and innovation, this annual report is a useful barometer,” says Prof Les Labuschagne, Acting Vice-Principal: Research, Postgraduate Studies, Innovation and Commercialisation.
What’s more, the report is only available electronically. This reduces costs—an imperative given the financial challenges the higher education sector in general and Unisa in particular are facing. It also saves paper, thus contributing to environmental sustainability, in line with the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) initiative, of which Unisa is part.
