The Research Chair’s vision is aligned with that of the College of Human Sciences, to produce quality research and participate in engaged scholarship with the aim of making a positive difference in the lives of the individuals and communities we serve.
To be a pathway and a bridge that allows for the re-imagining of solidarities across borders, putting IKS at the center, using engaged scholarship that takes seriously knowledges embedded in communities, and being a space for reflection and healing through work aimed at achieving social justice and cohesion.
