Rules:
The curriculum consists of a research proposal and a dissertation. The research proposal has to be completed within the first year of study.
Purpose statement:
- To provide qualifiers with advanced knowledge in some aspect or sub-field of education. - To accredit candidates who demonstrate the capacity to undertake well-founded and independent inquiry in a field of education, training and development. The MEd is a post-graduate qualification, above that of the first post-graduate degree but below that of doctorate, which accredits candidates' capacity to undertake well-founded and independent inquiry in the field of education, training and development, and to provide candidates with advanced professional and academic knowledge in an aspect of education.

Time limits for this degree

All master's and doctoral qualifications are structured over a defined period. Refer to sections 4.14 and 4.15 in the Procedures for master’s and doctoral degrees.

Both you and your supervisor are responsible to ensure that you complete your studies within the approved duration for your qualification.
