Psychology attempts to understand people’s behaviour (as individuals or in groups) and includes cognition, abnormal behaviour, family functioning, human development, learning, neurological and physiological functioning, careers, personality, and assessment. Unisa Department of Psychology is recognised nationally and internationally for the excellent contribution in education, research and community work. The Department has a reach history as a heavyweight player in the Psychology profession, dedicated to the education and training of highly competent, enquiring and critically-minded students in the Human Sciences by continuously ensuring that our programmes are internationally competitive and locally relevant. The Department is committed to applying management principles, guidelines, processes and practices to maintain and improve excellent academic performance in teaching, research and administration.
