The African college of excellence in the social and human sciences
The Office for Research and Graduate Studies in the College of Human Sciences (CHS) recently hosted a virtual National Research Foundation (NRF) rating information workshop. The Executive Dean, Prof Kgomotso Masemola, explained that the college takes seriously the matter of increasing NRF-rated researchers in CHS. Therefore, the purpose of the workshop was to assist potential applicants on how to complete their NRF online applications.
Dr Daisy Selematsela, Executive Director of the Unisa Library, provided guidance for completing the NRF applications. College expert consultants, Prof Grazia Weinberg and Prof Rosemary Moeketsi, also provided valuable insight and expanded further on what causes an application to be rejected or accepted.
