  • Media studies (representation of LGBTIQ issues – gay issues;  difference and ‘Othering” in the media; violence, race, gender, terrorism and HIV)
  • Cultural studies (Representations; poetics and politics of exhibiting other cultures; the ‘Other”; exhibiting masculinity; consumption and spectatorship)
  • Health communication  (HIV; health communication campaigns; integrated health communication marketing)
