Proposed schedule of major activities

Consistent with the stated objectives of the Chair in section 4, below is a brief summary of the planned yearly activities.

Year 1: Inception of chair’s R&D programmes

  • Postgraduate students’ registration/identification of research projects
  • Induction of the new cohort of postgraduate students/fellows
  • Postgraduates’ development and submission of research timetable/schedules
  • UNESCO Chair’s-driven postgraduate research training seminars and retreats
  • UNESCO Chair’s annual ODL research conference
  • Monthly progress report-back by postgraduate students and their supervisors to the Chair
  • Submission of research papers in Web of Science/IBSS/Scopus journals
  • Report-back to UNESCO by Unisa ODL Chair holder and Unisa Executive

 

Year 2
