UNESCO Chair on Open Distance Learning (ODL)

News & Events

Over the last 145 years, Unisa has evolved from an examining body, to one of the first correspondence universities in the world, to an Open Distance Learning University. Since 2013, we have moved from an ODL model towards an ODeL model. In this ever-changing distance learning landscape, what does this mean for you?

Over the next few months, there will be a series of videos and articles on the Bua website where you can join the #TalkToEachOther movement to share your views and opinions on ODeL.

Some of the university’s academic team recently shared their ideas and thoughts on the ODeL model. Denzil Chetty, Dr Ingrid Marais, Dr Britta Zawada and Prof Moeketsi Letseka, sat down over coffee to discuss all things ODeL and Unisa's shift to this learning model.

Share your thoughts with the team in the comments section below.
