Research group focus

Agricultural extension, agricultural marketing, climate change and adaptations, food security, land reform, poverty alleviation and coping strategies, economic viability and impact assessment of agricultural projects, programmes, small-scale and emerging farmers.

Research group goals and purpose

The goal and purpose of the research group is to analyse the following:

  • food security status and the determinants of food security of farming communities and improvements measures;
  • effect of climate change on livestock and crop production farming;
  • agricultural extension approavhes and refom;
  • challenges and impact of agricultural cooperatives;
  • land utilization challenges and the impact of land reform on beneficiaries;
  • adoption of agricultural technologies among farmers;
  • participation of emerging farmers in high value markets; and
  • economic viability of agricultural projects/programmes, small-scale and emerging farmers.
