The Department of Agriculture and Animal Health conducts research on a wide variety of research disciplines and research fields. The department is committed to provide excellent research leadership and guidance and have developed certain focus areas with the relevant expertise linked to them.

It is therefore advisable that students familiarize themselves with the focus areas of the department in order to align research with the expertise of the department. Since science research is a very dynamic environment, innovative and creative research proposals linked to these fields will also be welcomed. The department has different research groups with unique focus areas.
