Purpose: The primary purpose of this module is to provide students with a sound understanding of the multidisciplinary nature of safety management and for them to obtain an understanding and application of management of safety in the interactive reality of organisations. Students also need to develop competencies (knowledge, skill, norms and values) in analysing the structure and functioning as well as judging the appropriateness of and adapting safety management control measures and programs to meet the efficacy requirements of managing daily business operations and disasters.
Analysis of Safety Incidents - MNO2605

Purpose: To understand, explain and develop a beginning competence to anticipate and analyse incidents inpacting on business in order to identify deficiencies in control measures with the view to prevent re-occurence and to enhance the overall quality of safety in business operations.

Purpose: The primary purpose is to obtain an understanding of the management of human and business endeavour within the complex reality of environmental, economic and social imperatives. This includes the application of environmental management principles within the applicable governance requirements as well as sustainability principles and the application of business management principles in order to manage the impact of environmental factors on business organisations.
