Purpose: The purpose of learning in this module is to enable students to develop a fundamental Afrocentric knowledge base, skills and values in the field of managing workforce diversity and transformation for the purpose of promoting and managing diversity in a personal and organisational setting. The qualifying student will be able to discuss the need for managing diversity in the Afrocentric workplace; evaluate different development paradigms in the context of promoting diversity within African organisations; explain in detail diversity dynamics as manifested at individual, group and organisational level whilst promoting transformation; develop a strategic management diversity plan for an organisation in a South African or African context.
