Thermodynamics II - TDY2602

Diploma Year module NQF level: 6 Credits: 12
Module presented in English Module presented online
Pre-requisite: TDY2601
Purpose: The purpose of this module is to equip qualifying students with an extended knowledge of thermodynamics related to common systems such as compressors, turbines, boilers, condensers, refrigerators. With this integrated knowledge the students should be able to identify, analyse, evaluate, reflect on and address common thermodynamics problems related to these systems. This is accomplished by applying evidence-based solutions and theory-driven arguments associated with compressor, turbine, boiler, condenser, refrigerator thermodynamic systems. The qualifying students will be able to apply these evidence-based solutions and thermodynamic principles in the relevant engineering environment and practice.
