Purpose: The success, competiveness and the profitability of an organization in the current global business world is influenced largely by the efficiency of its strategic sourcing processes. The purpose of this module is to empower students with fundamental knowledge, skills, attitudes and values to develop and implement a procurement strategy that aligns with the overall competitive strategy of the organisation. Furthermore, students will also be equipped with a range of appropriate tools, techniques and methods which they can deploy to manage the strategic sourcing in a way that creates value for the organization. Finally, students will be able to explore global trends and contemporary issues affecting and affected by strategic sourcing activities through case studies and best practices.
