Purpose: The purpose of this module is to provide an overview of the fundamental concepts underlying control systems and instrumentation equipment that are utilised within the modern industrial process plant. Successful completion of this module will allow students to develop basic competences and skills in the design, selection, installation and operation of process control and instrumentation equipment within a chemicals processing environment. This module is part of the Diploma in Chemical Engineering. The learners will be equipped with basic skills to enable the safe operation of process plants.
