| Purpose: The purpose of this module is for students to gain comprehensive knowledge and problem-solving skills concerning the prevention, reduction and control of crime. Students who complete this module will exhibit a clear understanding of the principles of prevention of crime, apply the acquired knowledge in crime prevention, reduction and control. The module will enable the students to critically analyse the value, significance and purpose of criminological developments in crime prevention, reduction and control. Students will be able to deal with well-defined, but unfamiliar problems related to the prevention, reduction and control of crimes. |
