| Purpose: This module is intended for learners who are in the field of crop production. It will be useful for those who are in the field of fruit production, vegetable production and the production of field crops. Learners credited with this module will be able to use basic understanding of genetics for crop breeding and improvement, identify and manage components of climate affecting crop production using South Africa as a point of reference, identify and use essential cultural practices for the production of crops, and evaluate alternate cropping systems. |
