Purpose: This module intends to provide students with a range of theoretical and practical knowledge to think critically and to evaluate the theory and practice of performance management. Performance management practice, which include performance appraisal and employee development, are the "cornerstone" of human resources management. Furthermore, qualifying students can develop and apply performance management tools and techniques to appropriate organizational contexts in which they might operate. It will be useful to students who need to develop a detailed knowledge and understanding of the complete performance management system and process in order to effectively direct the performance of employees and ultimately also the performance of the organization.
