Purpose: This module is intended for all people who are pursuing a career in the field of Industrial and Organisational Psychology or practitioners in the field of human resources. The purpose of this module is to enable students to calculate and interpret basic descriptive and inferential statistics as part of a research project in an organisational context. Qualifying students are able to demonstrate solid knowledge and a sound understanding of the key terms and terminology as well as rules and principles that apply to basic descriptive and inferential statistics in Industrial Psychology. They are also able to effectively select and apply appropriate descriptive and inferential statistical techniques that are commonly used in Industrial Psychology.
