Purpose: The purpose of this module is to provide students with a professional development programme in the field of public service, corporate and private investigation agencies. It aims to equip students with value, knowledge and skills to enable them to investigate and solve selected crimes within the ambit of the South African Constitution and Africanised as well humanised law. This module will also show students how knowledge in Criminal Law and Law of Criminal Procedure and Evidence, can be applied to crime investigations. The module incorporates the Africanisation of investigation by looking at aspects of Ubuntu, social responsibility and humanisation of the law.
