Purpose: This module will be useful to students who intend to pursue a career in Accounting Sciences. Students credited with this module are able to explain and apply basic cost and management accounting principles relating to: Cost classification and terminology, accounting for purchased inventory, valuation of purchased inventory, labour costs and remuneration systems, manufacturing overheads, cost of goods manufactured and sold, budgeting, working capital management and basic concepts of business strategy.
