Recommendation: Students to register together with MAN2601
Purpose: Of this module is designed for those who have passed Level 1 (MAN1501 and MAN1502) or have basic Chinese language skills to further develop their Chinese proficiency in terms of linguistic knowledge, linguistic skills, learning strategies and cultural awareness. The students at this level should reach the following specific purposes in terms of: listening: understanding the topics concerning daily activities; speaking: communicating with others on the topics concerning daily activities in correct tones and sentence structures; reading: understanding the basic language material concerning daily activities, as well as key words and grammar; writing: making sentences based on the vocabulary and the key grammar in the textbook; strategies: mastering basic learning strategies, communicative strategies, resources strategies and interdisciplinary strategies; and cultural awareness: gaining basic Chinese cultural knowledge and cross-cultural awareness in the global context.
