| Purpose: The main purpose of this module is to furnish the students with necessary knowledge in engineering geology which will allow her/him to identify geological factors that may impact on proposed engineering works, specify focused phased geotechnical investigation requirements and testing programs to obtain the critical target parameters for evaluation and design. Qualifying students will be able to specify engineering geological investigation requirements, conduct basic engineering geological investigations, evaluate and apply engineering geological data in engineering design. Students will also be able to plan and execute management tasks involved in geotechnical work.
