Purpose: The purpose of this module is to equip students with the skill of reading and analysing short passages in five different genres: prose, poetry, drama, persuasive prose and conversation, with close attention to language usage. Students will also develop the ability to write about these passages coherently and with compliance to the requirements of academic English.
