Purpose: : Environmental politics explores the various international and national actors and organisations that shape and promote environmental cooperation on a global level. Transboundary and global environmental harms such as climate change present great challenges to our generation. The aim of this module is to expose students to the various political perspectives and issues relating to environmental matters as well as the movements, organisations and policies involved in these environmental matters. Students who complete this module should therefore be able to explain the concepts employed in the study and analysis of environmental politics as well as identify the characteristics of those concepts.
