Purpose: The objective of the module is to develop the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills required for learners to become competent practicing engineering technologists. At the completion of the module the student will be able to utilise engineering principles to foster innovative leadership, creativity and global entrepreneurial mindset. Successful students will able to: Describe the nature of entrepreneurship and how it relates to engineering businesses; Analyse whether it is better to start a business from Scratch or Buy an Existing Business; Develop new venture business plans; Develop market growth strategies; Manage growth in the new or existing business; Manage Assets and evaluate financial performance in the business. Apply engineering knowledge to contribute to the economy.
