| Purpose: The purpose of this module is for the student to gain knowledge of and to understand the social dynamics in a correctional setting. The module will provide the skills and knowledge required by new entrants to the profession of corrections management to identify and deal with the various categories of offenders with behavioural problems. Students who complete this module will be competent in assessing and individualization of offenders for purposes of effective offender management. |
