Purpose: The purpose of this module is for students to practically apply the theory and principles of advanced communication strategies when conducting meetings and communicating in general within a policing environment. A person credited with this module will be able to: Develop proficiency in planning and conducting meetings Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of attending meetings Create the plans of registering, reporting and following up of decisions taken during meetings Provide and receive constructive feedback during and after meetings Formulate tactics to professionally diagnose, manage and resolve conflicts during meetings Acknowledge the importance of ethics during meetings Understand the roles of self assertiveness during meetings Develop the different advanced communication techniques and strategies indispensable for conducting meetings
