Recommendation: This module should be taken after completion of SEP3701, SEP3702 & SEP3704.
Purpose: The purpose of this module is for students to gain integrated knowledge, skills and applied competence so as to provide a detailed explanation of the UNISA Security Risk Management Model and how it is applied. This module has also been structured for students to conduct an academic and professional discourse on new developments and trends in security risk management (corporate risk governance; industrial espionage; competitive intelligence; corporate enterprise & executive risk management; business continuity and contingency planning, organisational resilience management). A student accredited with this module should furthermore be able to demonstrate a coherent and critical understanding of the importance of Total Risk Management (incl. safety, health, building/facilities) as well as enterprise wide risk management.
