Unisa Press will participate in the Annual National Archives Awareness Week programme taking place from 8 to 15 May 2026 in Mahikeng, capital of the North West Province. The programme is hosted by the North West Department of Arts, Culture, Sport and Recreation in partnership with the national Department of Sport, Arts and Culture. It brings together stakeholders to reflect on the role of archives in preserving memory, supporting access to information and strengthening public knowledge.
As part of its participation, Unisa Press will host a book launch on 9 May 2026 at the Protea Hotel in Mahikeng. It will also present a curated exhibition of selected publications throughout the week. The exhibition will allow delegates to engage with Unisa Press titles that contribute to scholarship, social history, identity and knowledge preservation.
