Unisa to hold Inaugural Vice Chancellor's Music Concert

The University of South Africa (Unisa) will this week hold the inaugural Vice-Chancellor’s Music Concert (2022) in celebration of South Africa’s cultural heritage through arts and music.

The Unisa Vice Chancellor’s Music Concert is a unique celebration of the arts that focusses on music from our cultural heritage. This concert will feature traditional African music artists from renowned curator, actor, musician, poet, storyteller and cultural activist, Mpho Molikeng to more contemporary artists such as seasoned singer and performer, Monde Msutwana – all accompanied by the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra.

Additional artists will include the likes of the accomplished singer, Tim Moloi, the TUT Choir, Morning Stars Brass, Soshanguve Djembe Drums Ensemble and other contemporary African musicians.

Time: 19:00

Venue: Unisa Muckleneuk Campus, ZK Matthews Great Hall, 2nd Level, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Building, Preller Street, Muckleneuk Ridge, Pretoria.
