Research Interest

Dr Mouadili has conducted research studies in interdisciplinary fields ranging from Chemical Engineering to Materials Science. Dr Mouadili has published over 10 articles in DHET accredited journals as well as conferences. Dr. Mouadili’s primary and secondary research areas are as follows:

  • Chemical techniques for the refining of vegetable oils and sugars and the recovery of extracted by-products according to green and sustainable chemistry for a circular-economy., etc.
  • Fabrication of membrane systems for naturals products extraction.
  • Development of materials for pipeline and storage hydrogen.
  • Development of materials for hydrogen production and utilization.
  • Fabrication of membrane systems based on multifunctional nanocomposites for energy applications, including supercapacitors and Fuel cell applications.
  • Development of thermoplastic composites, in line with the carbon footprint reduction initiative to replace fuel and other traditional energy sources with green hydrogen in future vehicles.

Short Biography

Dr. MOUADILI Habib is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of South Africa. He obtained his PhD in Chemistry from Hassan II University, Faculty of Sciences, Casablanca. Morocco. where his research focused on design and development of membrane processes for the refining of vegetable oils and sugars and the recovery of extracted by-products.  He earned his MSc energy systems and renewable energies; Faculty of Sciences of Casablanca University, and his BSc in Chemical Engineering; Faculty of Sciences and Techniques Mohammedia Morocco.

Dr. Mouadili began his professional career as a production team leader; Lesieur Cristal Company, Casablanca, Morocco. He later joined the KOOL FOOD company, Casablanca. Morocco as a workshop cheif. He has participated in various international programs and training. Dr. Mouadili began his Postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Casablanca where he carried out research studies on   hydrogen permeability of membranes based on thermoplastic composites and liner systems for tank hydrogen storage as energy fuel resource for one years, before joining the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at UNISA as a Postdoctoral Fellow.
