Your admission to Unisa is dependent on you meeting the specific admission requirements for your chosen qualification.
An appropriate 360 credit Diploma or National Diploma in Engineering Technology in Electrical Engineering, with a minimum of 60% average,
or
an Advanced Certificate in Engineering Practice in Electrical Engineering at NQF level 6,
from an accredited provider of higher education, with a minimum of 60% average,
or
a national or international equivalent qualification at NQF level 6 in the appropriate field, with a minimum of 60% average.
Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements as indicated above may apply for admission through recognition of prior learning (RPL) provided they are at least 27 years old with a minimum of five years' current, relevant working and research experience in line with the approved qualification's RPL requirements. Applicants who do not comply with the above requirements should consider applying for a lower level qualification for which they meet the statutory and additional requirements.
