| Purpose: Qualifying students will have a solid understanding of metric spaces, normed and Banach spaces and inner product spaces. Students engaging in this module will obtain knowledge, skills and values which will support further studies and applications in the field of mathematical sciences, as part of an honours degree in mathematics. These competencies contribute to the development of scientific knowledge and mathematical understanding in Southern Africa, Africa or globally.
