| Purpose: The aim of this paper is to provide students with a different view of the specialist academic study field known as operations management (OM). This includes a specific integrated focus on goods and services from a value chain perspective. This perspective provides the key driver for all business activities. Students are again exposed to some of the ﾓtraditionalﾔ topics taught in OM but also some of the more advanced concepts, techniques and application of contemporary OM. |
