The ineffectiveness of South Africa’s anti-corruption strategy

Bafo Khanyeza MCom (Acc) CA(SA) (Senior Lecturer: Unisa)

Bafo Khanyeza, Senior Lecturer at Unisa, features prominently in the March issue of Accountancy SA, a monthly magazine published by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).

His special report on audit reform, The ineffectiveness of South Africa’s anti-corruption strategy, explores the world’s three different categories of anti-corruption strategies (auditing models), as well as the country’s own anti-corruption strategy, which is underpinned by the Auditing Professions Act of 2005 (APA). It also investigates how the APA can be used in the public sector to ensure better accountability.

Accountancy SA features the latest leading edge developments in the accountancy profession and business world.
