Dr Philangani Thembinkosi Sibiya is a full-time academic at the University of South Africa in the Department of Information Science, preferable referred to as Phila. Dr Sibiya completed his PhD in Information Science in 2022, entitled: Education and Training of Library and Information Science Professionals in Digital Scholarship in South Africa. Phila’s research interest are metadata in libraries, digital scholarship, LIS education and job market, research data management, media literacies and curriculum transformation.
