COVID-19 - tips from a clinical psychologist

Dr Christine Laidlaw, a clinical psychologist from the Department of Psychology in the College of Human Sciences at Unisa provides some valuable advice about our mental health during the South African lockdown due to COVID-19.

Here are three points to consider:

  1. Behaviour activation to keep the mood up. This can be done by establishing a daily routine during lockdown.
  2. Stay connected to loved ones as the people we are attached to are the most important part of our lives.
  3. Grow spiritually by thinking about the greater meaning to lockdown.
