On the 19 to 21 April 2023 the Department of Psychology of Education (DPsyEd) within the College of Education held a mentoring and niche area development at Irene Country Lodge, Pretoria.
The main purpose of this professional development was to introduce and equip young academics with writing skills, and this was initiated by Professor Vanessa Scherman.
On the first day Professor Maximus Sefotho, who is their mentor, presented on the personal development plans and publication plans, departmental niche areas understanding and roles. Professor R Tabane, School Director and Professor D Tlale, Chair of Department were in attendance.
On the second day, Professor Linda Liebenberg took them through the writing retreat session followed by working session.
