Syllabus/Content: Topic 1: rhetorical strategies used in speechwriting in English Identifying and analysing rhetorical strategies used in different types of speeches in English Speechwriting and other types of writing in English spoken English and Text-to-Word variations Persuasive rhetoric versus everyday English rhetorical and literary techniques used in the English language main and supporting ideas and sentence variation in a speech text; effective speechwriting techniques Topic 2: Composing a speech in English: from spoken to written text and vice-versa planning, drafting and writing your speech editing and proofreading your speech Topic 3: Presenting and evaluating presentations: tailoring and presenting a speech for a specific audience and context evaluating presentation and providing constructive feedback;
