Short Course in Advanced Latin Grammar and Syntax (77002)

Target group:

Students interested in learning basic Latin grammar, syntax and vocabulary with a view to reading Latin texts for legal, theological or general literary and language purposes.

Admission requirements:

Students who successfully completed the first Latin Short Course SCBLS01, or any equivalent Latin course at another University

SCALS01 - Advanced Latin Grammar and Syntax

The following scope and context apply to the whole module: Students should use appropriate reading skills to access information in the study material. Students should display a working knowledge of English language (grammar and syntax). Students should display a working knowledge of Latin language (vocabulary, morphology, grammar and syntax) in analyzing and translating Latin sentences and passages. Students should be able to engage in critical reading of cultural-historical aspects as expressed through texts.
