Admission requirements:

NQF 7 level qualification and appointment in a middle or senior manager position and managerial experience of at least 5 years. Alternatively, a portfolio of evidence of prior learning will be considered.

Purpose statement:

The purpose of this Executive Development Programme is to provide delegates with a mix of essential knowledge, insights and skills to participate actively through displaying deep-seated acumen in Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment with a joint focus on personal and organisational benefit.
It is aimed at equipping current and future transformation leaders to effectively transform their entities and resolve industry challenges through being transformation agents.
The programme will primarily capacitate delegates with advanced skills and knowledge in the areas of corporate governance, ownership, management control, skills development and enterprise and supplier development as well as socio economic development skills in order to effectively implement B-BBEE as responsible corporate citizens; prepare them for future responsibilities and upward mobility as part of career progression.

Modules:

BBBEE01 - Management control

Content:: The roles, responsibilities and duties of management positions within the contenxt of B-BBEE Application of management roles and responsibilities for effective implementation of B-BBEE The effectiveness of the board and executive management for transformation purposes The importants of linking management control and skills development for B-BBEE purposes Fronting activities and reporting mechanisms

BBBEE02 - Ownership for transformation

Syllabus: B-BBEE ownership vehicles. Design and review B-BBEE ownership structures. Draft B-BBEE ownership governing documents. Development of B-BBEE complex funding mechanisms. Assessment of B-BBEE fronting and misrepresentation of ownership arrangements.

BBBEE03 - Skills development

Content:: The role of skills development within the B-BBEE and transformation context The need and how to implement skills development plans that addresses critical scare skills for the economy Developing pratical and appropriate training, skills development programs within an organization that addresses Lag between the Management Control and the Skills Development within the B-BBEE and transformation context, and Organizational performance Develop a learning culture that is performance, expertise and accountability focused Organisational skills development assessment process Tools for measuring and developing skills levels within an organization e.g. performance management The impact of skills development in the economy

BBBEE50 - Localisation and Enterprise
