Attorneys, Advocates, legal advisers, auditors, accountants, government officials and private sector employees working in the field of competition law, economics, paralegals, procurement staff, as well as professionals in business and staff in attorneys' offices and offices of the categories mentioned above and who have relevant qualifications

Admission requirements:

A Bachelor's degree (e.g LLB or BProc or BLC or BJuris or BCom) or Diploma in law or equivalent work experience or work-based learning.

Purpose statement:

To equip students with the legal and practical knowledge and skills relating to public competition law

The primary purpose of the programme is to provide graduate practitioners in the field of public competition law with the knowledge, specific skills and applied competence in the field of competition law for continued personal intellectual growth, gainful economic activity and valuable contributions to society, and to bring them up to date with South African and International developments.

A second purpose of the programme is to provide South Africa and the global community with professional or practitioners in competition law, bring about an interest in this field of law in order to increase the community of public competition law to ensure that the leadership base of innovative and knowledge-based economic and scholarly activity is widened.

A third purpose of the programme is to provide South Africa and the global community with professional or practitioners in competition law who understand the constructive role they need to play as intellectual leaders in their society, and who are empowered and equipped with the required research and analytical skills to play a key role in the continued shaping of the legal dispensation in a just society based on constitutional democracy within a world legal order.
