Graduations

Qualification status (provisionally completed - PC)

A student's qualifications status can be set as provisionally completed (PC) for the following reasons:

  • The student owes the university study fees.
  • The student owes the university outstanding library material.
  • The student owes the university outstanding examination fees.
  • The student did not sign the NSFAS contract.
  • The student's audited record was received too late for the current graduation series.

The student's audited record was received too late for the current graduation series.

Where a signed off/audited record of completion of a qualification was received by the Division: Graduations after a specific graduation series, the student will be scheduled for the next graduation series.

An official university statement confirming completion of the qualification will be e-mailed to the student’s myLife e-mail account, after which the qualification status will reflect as PC (provisionally completed) until the student is scheduled for a graduation ceremony during the next graduation series. Only then, the status will be CO (completed) with a graduation date. A new statement and information regarding the graduation information will be e-mailed to the student's myLife e-mail account.

The final audited record is kept by the Division: Graduations.
