Writing Centre

The Writing Centre provides students with support in developing their academic reading and writing fluency but focusing on academic assignments and reports.

The Writing Centre offers academic development workshops, and one-to-one consultations where facilitators will guide students to:

• read with greater understanding.
• analyse and understand assignment and examination questions.
• brainstorm and compile assignment outlines.
• obtain feedback on first and successive drafts of assignment answers.
• assist in unpacking and understanding feedback from tutors and lecturers.

Workshops, both general and module-specific, are offered throughout the semester to address critical aspects of academic reading and writing.
